a memoir
Ghost In The Bone Podcasts
What goes on behind the blank front door? Of your house. Of any house.
These seventeen segments form an abridged version of the memoir, Ghost In The Bone; seventeen episodes from the life of a person born to one woman, brought up in the household of another.
It is a story of family: of the chemistry of sad and hidden histories, of love as a force that destroys, enriches and ennobles. It is about separation and reunion. And forgiveness.
Here are snapshots from a web of lives, ordinary and extraordinary, an odyssey contemplative and ultimately uplifting.
* What's in A Name?
Ghost in the Bone has been an on-going project over a long period of time and inevitably it has developed and changed along the way. At the time of recording, I was still using pseudonyms to protect the identity of the family, but since then key characters have very kindly consented my using our name (they have all since applied for Witness Protection). In these recordings, all names are my invention. You will find the originals in the printed version.

Thank you for taking the journey through these podcasts; I hope very much that you have enjoyed them. You will know that these are an abridgement only of the original text so, what I have done here, in the hope of your being interested enough to listen further, is I have added a bonus chapter to give you a taste of the chunk of story not recorded. It is quite a big chunk! If you find that your interest is peaked, then please do go to Amazon Kindle and buy the ebook of Ghost in the Bone.
